Blackmagic turned into an EF lens and Super 35 for its Pocket Cinema Camera 6K in the year 2019. To some extent, Blackmagic is increasing its capability for compact but largely capable pocket cinema series cameras, with last year's Pocket Cinema 4K jumping out of the 2013 Super 16 video camera. The newly unveiled Pocket Cinema has backed up the Camera 6 again, with several upgrades powered by the Super 35 sensor, on board.

Like its predecessor, Pocket Cinema Camera 6K is built on the search for cinematic quality images for handheld users. But it also created four third HDR4K sensors used last year, including a Super 35 HDR sensor, which hindered the resolution to 6,144 x 3,456 pixels.

This means that it has cut the compatibility of the Micro Four Third Lens in favor of the eN lens, making it friendly to the family of lenses from Canon, Zeiss, Sigma and others. It gives users more flexibility in low-light situations and opens up the possibility of some sport in terms of bokeh effects and shallow depth of field.

The dual-gain ISO offers up to 25,600 with 13-stop dynamic ranges, while the rear five-inch touchscreen allows focus control and provides helpful information overlays like histograms and frame guides.

Technically, the video shooting options include 50 frames (fps) at 6,144 x 3,456 in 16: 9 directions, 6,144 x 2,560 at 60 fps 2.4: 1, 60 fps at 5,744 x 3,024 17: 9 and 120 fps 2,868 x 1,512 at 17: 9a. Export options come via HDMI and USB-C ports, while there is a mini XLR connector for professional microphone attachments and a regular 3.5mm audio input.

Available now, Pocket Cinema Camera 6K is priced at US 2,495.
